When should we tour and interview?

“When can we visit?” is a question that comes up repeatedly every year by prospective students and families. Of course, those of us who work in admission want you to visit often and at any time! The only exception is in the summer when our campus is super busy with Nobles Day Camp, Upward Bound, Achieve and various music and theater programs. We start to tour and interview prospective students and families in late September and continue to do so right through January of the following year. The best time to visit, not only Nobles, but any campus in the northeast is in the fall. Not only is autumn in New England a most beautiful season, but in the cycle of the school year it is a time of recommencement. The start of a new school year brings excitement and renewal. Faculty, staff and students are excited to have returned to a place they love to be at. That excitement is palpable and we would love for you to feel it. A popular misconception would have you believe that your student will be forgotten in January if he/she visits in October. Rest assured that our staff in Admission does not forget students. There are many checks and balances as well as articulate documentation that are implemented during the admission season, which ensure that our visitors remain “memorable”.

We are looking to forward to seeing you at all, or some, of the events that we have planned for the fall 2012 admission season.

Thanae Cooper, Assistant to the Dean of Enrollment Management
